Stadtteile von Pattaya

Pattaya stretches along the coast, and every district has its own character and price level.

Jomtien

The most popular choice among foreigners: a long beach, condominiums at every budget, shops and schools. The best balance of price, sea and infrastructure.

Pratumnak

The hill between the centre and Jomtien. Quiet and green, yet 5-10 minutes from both, with small uncrowded beaches. A district people buy to live in.

Na Jomtien

Jomtien continued southwards: newer, calmer and cheaper per square metre. Cleaner sea, fewer people, but a car becomes close to essential.

Central Pattaya

Sea, markets, hospitals and malls within walking distance. The best area for short-term letting; the trade-off is noise and traffic.

South Pattaya

Walking Street and the nightlife around it. Attractive prices, but as a place to live it is an acquired taste.

North Pattaya and Naklua

Noticeably calmer than the centre. Wongamat is one of the best city beaches, surrounded by upmarket new builds. Prices above average.

East Pattaya

Beyond the Sukhumvit highway: houses with land and a pool for the price of a flat near the sea. The beach is a 15-25 minute drive.

Huay Yai

Further inland and south: villa estates, international schools, complete silence. Life revolves around your plot and your car.
